Cantaloupe Fruit Bowl

When I brought this to the table Munchkin’s eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning.  She and I had so much fun with this.  It was a joy to watch her eat each piece of fruit.  Next time I make it I will add more fruit that she is not as familiar with to make it even more exciting.

I love love love fruit salad. It is a lot amusing to put together your favored fruit and dressings and create a mind-blowing dish. Of course, I love fruit salad at potlucks and picnics. I am pretty sure our every popular Summer Berry Cheesecake Salad will see a ton of parties this twelve months.

But, while you want fruit salad and it’s miles for you and the family, maybe some thing a touch greater low-secret’s what you’re looking for. Low key doesn’t advocate it must be uninteresting. I love cutting a cantaloupe or a honeydew melon in 1/2 and filling it with a simple fruit salad.

We love grapes, melon, and bananas, and it makes a sincere and mind-blowing aspect dish. So, whether you’re serving it along issue lunch, dinner or most effective a snack, you can take a in addition second to add a few pizzazz for your bowl.

I used the curved vegetable peeler that I had handy to make a truly amusing, wavy side. But, you could definitely simply slice the melon in half of. Then I scooped out the seeds and used a melon baller to get rid of the fruit. That left a crater crammed melon shell.

  • 1/2 cantaloupe
  • 1 cup grapes (I used green, red and black)
  • 1 medium banana, sliced
  • ½ lemon, juiced

  2. In a medium bowl combine melon balls with grapes and banana slices. Squeeze lemon on top, the lemon will add another dimension and keep the fruit from browning.  Toss gently with a medium size serving spoon to mix.
  3. Place fruit mixture back into hollowed out cantaloupe half.  Serve at room temperature or chilled.
  4. Enjoy!
